For our office in Rheinfelden (Basel) we are looking for an Operations Manager Truck & Sea Freight to start as soon as possible. Our office in Rheinfelden consists of an experienced, dynamic and motivated team that needs to be expanded due to the current business development. Your new tasks:

  • Professional management of a team of 2-3 employees
  • Support and advise your team
  • Creating and ensuring compliance with customer SOPs to increase productivity in daily tasks within the department
  • Timely implementation of internal procedures
  • Complete freight order processing and oversee your team's orders
  • Rate purchasing and negotiation with service providers
  • Preparation of documents (incl. processing of letters of credit)
  • Tracking & tracing
  • Checking the department's invoicing and monthly financial statements

Your profile:

  • Completed training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk
  • Relevant professional experience in freight handling (sea import & export) from A to Z (LCL/FCL) and project shipments.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned field of activity
  • Experience in managing employees
  • Good knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)
  • Detailed knowledge of logistics transport chains and Incoterms
  • Independent and goal-orientated way of working
  • Openness and ability to build a team
  • Involvement in recruitment processes to provide the team with talent when needed.
