New beginnings in Argentina: On October 1, 2024, Leandro Reales will take over as Managing Director of a. hartrodt Argentina in Buenos Aires. He has been working there as Commercial Manager since June of this year. The Argentinean has an excellent network in South America's third-largest economy thanks to 28 years of freight forwarding experience in sales and as Managing Director at various companies. "I want to get things moving," says Leandro Reales. Amaya Teniente, who has headed a. hartrodt Argentina since March 2020, will support him until the end of October 2024 before taking on new responsibilities within the Group.

First overseas company of a. hartrodt in Buenos Aires

In Buenos Aires, the family company's first overseas branch opened in 1910, and company founder Arthur Hartrodt himself was on site from 1914 to 1920. Today, ten employees work in an office close to the port and airport, focusing on sea and air freight, including hinterland transportation by truck. Despite difficult conditions, Leandro Reales wants to "develop business and ensure greater stability" for a. hartrodt Argentina.

Boosting exports and expanding business

Leandro Reales expects growth impetus from the solid export market. Wine, beef and cereals, among other primary sectors, provide immense resources for Argentina. He also wants to expand the customer base searching for regular new clients based on the fact that "our customers benefit from intensive, personal service with individual solutions", he emphasizes.

While Argentina's President Javier Milei is trying to stabilize the South American country economically, Leandro Reales is "not yet able to make a forecast for 2025". But he also points out that local expectations are high, and that the projections are significantly better than those of previous years, following the reopening of imports and the adjustment of exchange rates. Details of Amaya Teniente's upcoming change will be announced shortly.
